10 new Ambassadors credentials to SBY

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received letters of credentials on Wednesday, 10 new foreign ambassadors during a ceremony at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.

"On behalf of the Indonesian people and Government, I would like to congratulate you on your appointments as ambassadors of your respective countries. I hope that we can further strengthen our bilateral relations during your felling company possesses, "said President Yudhoyono in a welcome meeting after the ceremony, similar to his statements when other new Ambassadors welcome in the past.

"Our relationship is good. I hope that we can continue to improve in the coming years by finding new possibilities, "the President added.

Among the 10 new envoys, are seven based in Jakarta.

They are Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Khater Khater of Qatar, Manuel Antonio Askhat Orazbay of Kazakhstan of Panama, Saturno Escala, Georg Witschel of Germany, Bahaa El Deen Bahgat Ibrahim Dessouki of Egypt, Ahmed Al Musally Al A'awady of the United Arab Emirates and Filip Cumps of Belgium.

The other three are Jerome Kloh Weya of Ivory Coast who is based in Tokyo, Japan; Molosiwa Selepeng of Botswana (Canberra, Australia), and Fidelino Loy de Jesus Figueiredo of Angola (Singapore).

Two weeks ago, attended Germany's Wirschel the day of German unity in Jakarta, commemorating the German reunification on 3 October 1990, after the fall of the Berlin wall on 9 november 1989.

The event was also used to mark the 60th anniversary of bilateral ties Indonesia and Germany.(iwa)
