A jet Air Force Hawk 200 crashed in Pasir Putih in Kampar, Riau Islands during a routine training mission on Tuesday morning, according to official.

"There were no casualties in the incident," Air Force spokesman Air Commodore Azman Yunus said.

The pilot, second lieutenant Reza Yori Prasetyo, ejected and made a safe landing if the aircraft did, said Yunus.

The Hawk 200 was created in the United Kingdom in 1980. It was apparently the single-seat light ground-attack version of the aircraft.

Officials of the Air Force base in Riau are investigating the crash site and will report on the reasons for the accident, said Yunus. (cor/iwa)
