Govt condemns Poso bombing

Coordination of political, legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto is suing Minister of the bombers in Poso, Central Sulawesi that two police officers and a guard were wounded on Monday.

Djoko told "I promise that law enforcement authorities will hunt down and arrest the culprits in the near future," the journalists at his Office.

Separately, said national police chief Gen. Timur Pradopo he detectives of national police headquarters in Jakarta sent to Poso to investigate.

"We will try our best," he said.

Timur said that the police had not linked the bomb attack on Monday at the killing of two police officers in Poso earlier this month. "But the possibility is still there," he said.

National Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief Lieutenant General Marciano Norman said he suspected that the radical Islamist group Jamaah Ansharut Tauhid (JAT) was behind the terror attacks in Poso. (lfr)
