JYP Entertainment’s recording studio in New York City is expected to face fines for a construction violation.

According to NYC Department of Building’s website, the major K-pop agency could be fined $1,200 for using the first floor of the building in Manhattan as a “music studio,” while the basement to third floor is registered as an “office.”

The Web document indicates that the maximum penalty of $10,000 could be imposed, depending on the hearing scheduled for Nov. 1.

The entertainment agency has had a total of nine violations in association with the building in Manhattan since May 2009 including the latest one. The total amount of penalties it has paid for the past eight violations comes to nearly $15,000.
