To be announced, Asia's 50 best restaurants

The first ever awards for Asia's 50 best restaurants will be announced on Feb. 25, 2013, at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

Voted by food critics, chefs, restaurateurs and foodies around the world, it's part of The World's 50 Best Restaurants' annual review program and created by its 936-member Academy.

Aside from Indonesia, countries included in the voting process are Bangladesh, Myanmar, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Maldives, Micronesia, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam.

Individual awards for categories such as the Best Restaurant in Asia, Lifetime Achievement Award, Best Female Chef Award, Chefs' Choice Award, Best Pastry Chef and One to Watch will also be announced.
