An official of the Pakistani says a bomb blast has killed at least 14 people on an election rally campaign by a pro-Taliban party in the Northwest of the country.

Javed Khan, a government administrator in the tribal region of Kurram where the attack took place, says Monday attack also wounded 50 people.

He says the bomb was apparently planted near the main stage of the rally.

Khan says two party leaders escaped unharmed. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the explosion.
