(JP/Nadan Prathivi) Has become fashionable for Amanda Soekasah, the air she breathes. A daughter of notable Indonesian fashion designer Ghea Panggabean, she continues her mother self titled brand along with her twin sister, Janna. Other than that, Amanda enjoyed her stint in recto-verso printing/, which opened on Valentine's day.
"Playing in recto-verso printing/was a coincidence actually. A good friend of mine, Marcella [Zalianty], made his debut as a Director in the film and asked me for the design of the Cabinet.
But then, Happy [Salma], the other Director in the movie, I saw that a good match with a role in her story was. I love movies, the stories in the novel recto-verso printing/, and, of course, author of the book, Dee [Dewi Lestari]. Convinced me that I could do the Happy part — and I did.
About my future in film, as long as it's something that I can do, I will do it.
In the fashion world, my twin and I are development of my mother-brand, and we plan to blow her print designs from the 80 's and they a current taste.
Fashion work was necessary part of my life plan, because when I was a little girl I swore I would not follow my mother path, because they used to come home late. But I don't know, maybe it's all natural for me.
In addition to the fashion business and acting, I write and emcee. In my spare time, I like nice things such as weather, writing and movies.
I used to randomly Mix for my type of ice-blended coffee mug at home, but then I had trouble sleeping at night, so I quit.
Now I prefer refurbishing my room, mostly out of boredom or when I think that the design is no longer suitable for a certain feng shui is.
Surprisingly, the hobby has become another creative undertaking which I am currently working on: event decoration.
It actually began, out of the blue, when one of my friends was planning an event in one place. At that time, a design idea just popped in my head and I told her that the place should use the concept I had in mind. It was free, I was merely useful. But after that, the kind of good [business].
There are many things that inspire me-if I just watch a movie, for example, I will the idea in my mind. I don't know, but I think it's something that I get from my mother.
I am passionate about traveling. My place memorable trip was when my twin and I went for a photo shoot in
Morocco. We got lost in Casablanca [Western Morocco], because none of us knew French or Arabic, while most people there did not understand English. With help from my mother we were than network can also visit Marrakech and Fez.
The country is my all time favourite destination, because I just love the unique ethnic design — with Marakech are all in the red, while Fez is blue. "
