Exhibition

An exhibition of photography work of Sibylle Bergemann will of 22 February to 5 March in Bentara Budaya Jakarta on JL. Palmerah Selatan in Central Jakarta. A discussion on the exhibition will also be held at the Bentara Budaya on February 27, a 2-hour Bergemann works are described as unique, poetic, full of surprises and often times surreal. The photographer has done work in numerous areas, of reportage and urban landscapes in many places, and also work in fashion, modeling and human interest photography. Her work in fashion launched its name to fame. Her photographs have been published in many printed publications, including Geo, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, Stern and The New York Times Magazine. Screening

The Japan Foundation will be an animated TV series Uchuu Kyoudai (space Brothers) screen in the Auditorium Arifin Panigoro at Al-Azhar University of Indonesia on JL. Sisingamangaraja, South Jakarta, on March 2.

The screening will also be followed by a talk show with some experts on anime and manga from Japan. Uchuu Kyodai is a dramatic animated series tell the story of an astronaut and his daily life as a normal man. The series is based on the manga series of the same name by Chuya \artist Koyama. Sales of manga reached the 10 million mark in Japan. The editor of the manga series is Yohei Sadoshima, already famous for his work with Takehiko Inoue on Vagabond and Norifusa Mita on Doragon Zakura. The screening is free. Stand-up

An ensemble of local comics rebellion will occur on our cultural centre @ america at Pacific Place in South Jakarta on Sunday February 17 at 19: 00. The cast includes Mo Ali, Dwika Putra, Luqman, Otnamree and Imran Baehaqi, Alison Bule Bandung. Hosted by Robert Sarpuspita, the show is meant to soothe the broken on Valentine's day. Mo Ali is a Bandung-based comedian, who along with prominent local comics such as Pragiwaksana and Raditya Dika Pandji have been boosted by the popularity of the local stand-up scene.
